Greetings, Volcanogodless.

I've come here to thank you for having added my leather belt-case to your Favorites.

In seeing some of your work, I can say that I've not seen others make use of magnified mineral specimens as the subject of their ink/pencil work. I believe that it makes a novel and intriguing abstract and concept alike... Although similar works will have existed long since elsewhere, to have encountered such things here is quite heartening. Thank you for your patience in their creation, and also in their display and your notes as to their types and qualities.

I am no avid geologist, but like many, I possess a liking and respect for the many types of geological material and processes, as well as their vast diversity.

Thanks again, Volcanogodless. Good times to you. =)

thank you so much for your kind words, and apologies for it taking me almost 5 years to respond...alas, my life has been consumed by science and not so much the kind that results in the artistic creativity that I once found in looking at thin sections of rocks and minerals for hours on end...I think I'll upload some recent map projects to make me feel like I've remotely contributed to this community again...and maybe break out the HB pencil for a change. Your comment inspired me!

They say things come as great surprises, and moreso if they've been under the shroud of time and cloak of life's comings and goings.

Aye! Well, glad to help in that abstract and obscure way. I find that time, all too easily, slips away, and it's easy to count one's accomplishments by the wrong measure. Better instead to see to the often-overlooked curiosities of the world, and find what is valuable to one's understanding.

And, as a fellow admirer of many things geological, I'd say that mineral specimens make a great challenge to any type of art! Good luck, and thank you for returning my message, even after so many years. It certainly made my day to see!

Much thanks for the fav. I enjoyed your drawings of the the igneous rocks on the micro scale. For some reason I have always liked like them more than sedimentary. Not sure why. But I do.

And kudos for appreciating Ed Abbey.
